Nice job, Catherine! Almost finished - you just have to add the Epilogue and the Manuscript. Your key events in each chapter will help when we develop plot lines in class.

Assignment #3

Catherine Zastrow
8-5 Reading
12/3/09

Assignment 3
-Choose 5 characters
-Write two sentences what you know about him or her
I found out that in chapter three Mr. Davis lied about his name. His real name is William Henry Blore and he is claimed a “first class liar”. He claims that he has come from South Africa, but it seems as though no one believes him. I think it would be difficult to verify the idea that he is from Africa because he has already lied about his name, what else could he be hiding? It is a great example of the boy who called wolf.
I also found out that Mr. and Mrs. Rogers set off the gramophone. When everyone was wondering what was going on and they asked them they confessed immediately. They were only told to do so by Mr. and Mrs. Owens. I don’t think that they really wanted to do that because Mrs. Rogers fainted and that could have been because she was under deep pressure and she screamed and collapsed. I also found out that they have never seen Mr. or Mrs. Owens.
After the gramophone went off, Miss Emily Brent didn’t follow the crowd to see what that noise was. I think that she might have thought that she was so proper that she didn’t want to know about the noise. It could have also been that she was frightened by the fact that she had been called out for causing the death of someone.
Mr. Justice Wargrave is a true judge because he settled everyone in the room after the gramophone incident happened. He had been asking all sorts of questions to Mr. and Mrs. Rogers and Mr. Blore. He asked this question to Mr. Rogers after the incident, “Now then, Rogers, we must get down to the bottom of this. Who did this Mr. Owen?” He also sounds like he could be a great detective because he always wants to get to the bottom of everything.

Catherine-
You have some great ideas here.
Comments: Did you follow ALL of the directions?
Where are Assignments 1 and 2?
Make sure you are linking your pages properly. This page should be linked to the 'AND THEN THERE WERE NONE' page, not the 'here' page. Most people have done this incorrectly.
Your PowerSchool grade will reflect that you do not have the first two assignments listed here. If that is not the case, please let me know.
